Product validation is the process that confirms a product, prototype, or pre-production run meets functional, mechanical, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements under conditions representative of its use.

    Product validation

    The types of tests offered cover the mechanical resistance (jolts, vibrations, efforts), the Functional validation (performance, watertightness, precision), the durability and ageing (cycles, thermal, UV, corrosion), dimensional validation (tolerances, capability), the Assembly and fitting tests (maintainability, operator ergonomics) and the User testing/ergonomics in real-world conditions. We also integrate the normative essays for certification.

    The duration of a product validation depends on the Product complexity, you Number of attempts, of the Prototype availability and some standards to cover. In practice, a targeted test set can be driven in 2 to 4 weeks, whilst a Full programme with laboratory certification can extend over 6 to 10 weeks (including preparation, testing, reports and any iterations).

    We are working with accredited laboratories when a official report is required for certification or approval. Hybster manages the Test plan definitionthe Internal pre-validationthe sample logistics and the Coordination with the laboratory in order to obtain signed reports compliant with standards

    Product validation does not guarantee regulatory compliance if it complies with the applicable standards and driven with recognised protocols (often via accredited laboratories). Hybster integrates the normative review, built conforming test plans, and accompanies you as far as the’homologation, which allows for a demonstrated and documented compliance.

    It is entirely possible to validate a working prototype and it is even recommended before investing in tooling. Prototype testing allows you to’Identify the weak points, too’to arbitrate tolerances, of Confirm performance and of prepare for certification. This approach speeds up the launch while secure the industrialisation phase.
