CF grades require slightly higher temperatures and pressures. Very abrasive → carbide tooling is mandatory. Almost isotropic shrinkage is very low. Electrical conductivity must be taken into account in the design of parts.
PET (code 1) is the most widely recycled plastic in the world. Well-established recycling processes enable the production of food-grade r-PET for bottles, textile fibres and engineering components. The target is 90% collection in the EU by 2029.
PET is the standard for food packaging (FDA, EFSA, EU Regulation 10/2011). Approved for all types of food, including carbonated drinks, oils, and acidic foods. Recycled r-PET can be certified food-grade after approved decontamination.
