Injection at 180–250 °C, mould at 20–60 °C. Low viscosity → good filling. High shrinkage (1.5–3.0 %) → adjustment of mould dimensions essential. Crystallisation influenced by cooling rate. No pre-drying required.
HDPE (code 2, LDPE code 4) is one of the most recycled plastics globally. Well-established collection streams. Mechanical recycling is common. The value of recycled material is significant.
PE is one of the most approved materials for food contact (FDA, EU regulation, EFSA). Widely used in food packaging, drinking water pipes (HDPE PE 100), and bottles. Excellent chemical inertness for all types of food.
