Frequently asked questions
Injection at 230–280 °C, mould at 60–90 °C. Pre-drying essential: 4 hours at 100 °C. Susceptible to hydrolysis if damp. Low shrinkage (0.5–0.7 %). Higher injection pressure than pure ABS.
The ABS+PC alloy (code 7) is recyclable, but separation is complex. It can be re-melted, but its properties degrade if the proportions are not controlled.
The ABS+PC alloy is not certified for general food contact. For food applications, prefer PP, PETG, or PE.
