Frequently asked questions
Injection moulding at 200–260 °C, mould temperature 40–80 °C. Pre-drying: 2–3 hours at 80 °C. Flow behaviour similar to ABS. Low shrinkage (0.4–0.7 %). Good suitability for glossy finishes.
ASA is recyclable (code 7). Its UV-stabilised properties are maintained better after recycling than ABS. Primarily industrial avenues.
Standard ASA is not certified for food contact. Use PP or PE for all food applications.
